Parker – With DOT cooperation in several large cities, the company Streetline has installed electronic sensors in selected neighborhoods to detect whether parking spots are occupied or available.  The data is broadcast out and then made available to the app.

Sears Craftsman garage door opener – You no longer have to be right in front of your house to open or close the garage.  Think you might have left the garage open while you are away?  Need to let someone in?  You can use the app to open or close the garage door.  Requires the Craftsman AssureLink Opener installed on your door.

GoPoint – You will need the right cable for your car, but with the app, the phone, and the cable, you can plug into your cars on board computer diagnostic port to get real time information on your cars systems.  This same test at a garage could cost hundreds to figure out what is wrong with your car.
