My name is Wade Coté Menard (though some may know me as Wade Majors — long story), am 25 years old and living in Orlando, Florida. Online I often go by the handle “kurros”.

Quick History

I was born in Visalia, California on September 17, 1982 but when I was around eight years old my family moved south to the Los Angeles area where I grew up in Glendale and then Redondo Beach. In the summer of 1996, especially after the events of the Northridge Earthquake in 1994, my parents decided to move to hurricane country. At least we have some warning on those. After some rough years re-adjusting in school I ended up dropping out of high school and getting a gig as a computer technician at a small mom & pop (two brothers, actually) electronics repair shop. Over that time I also did some work for Be, Inc. and Netscape Communications Corp (the Mozilla project). After about six years of all that I neded a career change and ended up as a front line Sports & Recreation Cast Member at the Walt Disney World Resort. That was almost 3 years ago, and as much as I miss California I wouldn’t give this place up for anything. I plan on continuing my education in the upcoming school year and working on a Hospitality Business Management degree.
I still keep computers as a hobby in my spare time. These days I am contributing to various GNOME projects and running Ubuntu Linux on my only computer left (a notebook).
